Mike and Emily at the market Three Springs Farm is owned and operated by Emily Oakley and Michael Appel.  Emily was born and raised in Tulsa, and Mike is originally from Long Island, New York.  We have traveled to the Middle East, East and West Africa, South Asia, and Latin America to study sustainable agricultural systems.  We have worked with community gardens in Providence, Rhode Island and apprenticed on organic farms in California for three years.  In September 2003, we moved back to Oklahoma to start a small-scale diverse vegetable farm.  Emily is interested in seed saving and the role of women in farming, and Mike is passionate about the social issues surrounding our food system.
